Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree or Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Valid Civil Aviation Authority Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License in Category A and C - Gas Turbine Engines
  • Cessna 208b Type Rating
  • Pratt & Whitney PT6A -114A Type Rating
  • Type Rating/ Type Training on C208b
  • Have a minimum of 5yrs total aircraft maintenance experience on Cessna Caravan; Twin Otter experience/ratings will be an added advantage
  • Have good communication skills & be a team player
  • Computer Literate – experience with digitized libraries and maintenance tracking / planning software is an added advantage

Licensed Avionic Engineers

Reporting to the Head of Base Maintenance, the Avionic Engineer will be responsible for:-
 
Duty Station: Nairobi, Kenya
 
Qualifications & Skills
  • Hold a Diploma or Degree in Aeronautical Engineering (Avionics Option) from a recognized institution.
  • Hold a KCAA Dual AMEL in Electrical & Avionics (i.e. Cat. ‘X’ -Electrical & Cat. ‘X’-Instruments/ Cat. ‘X’-Autopilots/ Cat. ‘R’-Radio) with type Ratings/Approvals on a minimum of two Aircraft Types operated byAKEL.
  • Have a minimum of 6yrs total aircraft maintenance experience of which 2yrs have been as an Engineer-2 or equivalent.
  • Have good communication skills & be a team player
  • Computer Literate – experience with digitized libraries and maintenance tracking / planning software is an added advantage.

Accountant

Reporting to the Accounts Receivables Accountant, the accountant will be charged with reconciling debtors Accounts, timely receivables statement issuance and cash and ticket sales reconciliation.
 
Duty Station: Nairobi, Kenya
 
Qualifications & Skills
  • University degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
  • Professional Accounting Qualifications to 2nd level or higher e.g. CPA, ACCA or equivalent is desirable.
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience in accounts and/or finance department
  • Computer Literate – experience with accounting packages is an added advantage
Software Developer

Reporting to the IT Manager, the Software developer will consult with Management, and all the company’s functions to understand business needs, and develop solutions.
 
S/he will perform revision, repair, or expansion of programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements. 

Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic.
 
Duty Station: Nairobi, Kenya
 
Principle Accountabilities:
  • Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs
  • Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs.
  • Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users.
  • Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
  • Write and maintain programming documentation.
  • Analyze NT client/server and micro-computer based software solutions compatibility with company requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
  • Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
  • Assist personnel of other departments as an IT resource (i.e. Administrator and Support)
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably IT/Computer Science.
  • Diploma and other qualifications in Programming and support
  • Microsoft Certification an added advantage
  • 2 yrs in Programming and software development.
  • Proficiency and Experience (2+yrs) in:
  1. Visual Basic .NET and Visual Basic 6, including the use of program “classes” and creation of DLL’s
  2. SQL Server databases, SQL, ADO.NET
  3. Windows server 2008/2003 and Windows XP/2000/98 Server and Windows 7/XP
  4. Crystal Reports
  5. Networking/LANs/WAN, TCP/IP protocol
  6. MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Exchange, MS Power point, MS Outlook
  7. Experience with the following is desirable but not required:
  8. ASP.NET and Javascript, HTML
  9. Computer hardware installation and maintenance.
  10. Web applications.
  11. PABX

The Performers Rights Society of Kenya (PRISK) is a Collective Management Organisation that is licensed by the Kenya Copyright Board under the Copyright Act, 2001 Laws of Kenya to represent performers (singers, musicians, actors, dancers and instrumentalists). 

PRISK’s mandate is to collect and distribute royalties on behalf of its members.

Purpose
 
PRISK seeks to engage a Consultant Finance Manager to handle its financial operations throughout Kenya. 

The Finance Manager will handle all duties and responsibilities in the finance Section of PRISK. 

The appointed Finance Manger will be a dynamic, visionary and result oriented person of high ethical standards, integrity and professionalism with the overall mandate of managing strong commercial and administrative functions of the Society.

Duties and Responsibilities
 
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer and oversees Finance department
  • Organization and management of the Accounts section
  • Interpret financial policies &prepare financial statements
  • Budgetary controls and Audit
  • Management accounting methods and financial returns; and prioritization of projects.
  • Further, the officer will be responsible for planning, designing, reviewing, coordinating, controlling and implementing the financial management and accounting systems.
  • Conducting audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of organizational operations using professional audit standards and practices.
Required qualification, experience and key competences
 
For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:
  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting Option) and CPA or its equivalent
  • Modern computerized accounting skills- Quick books, Pastel, Sage.
  • At least three years’ experience in a similar position
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
