Reporting to the Inventory Manager, job holder’s key responsibilities will be:
  • Manage inventory both physically and in the Oracle system;
  • Monitor stock levels in Safaricom’s Warehouse and initiate action to optimize stocking;
  • Conduct and reconcile cycle counts between Oracle, issued documents and physical;
  • Daily monitoring of goods in transit in oracle;
  • Reduce the company’s exposure to obsolescence risk by producing monthly reports to highlight suppression’s and obsolescence and taking steps with relevant departments to reduce losses;
  • Ensure the Warehouse follows proper procedures to promote accountability of stocks with clear Audit trails;
  • Prepare weekly cycle counts reports on stock levels.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies:
  • Bachelor of Commerce/Economics degree from a recognized university;
  • At least 2-3 years experience in Supply Chain function;
  • Professional Certification like CSCP, CPIM or CIPS certification (minimum foundation level 4);
  • Knowledge of Oracle Inventory Management will be a distinct advantage;
  • Excellent working knowledge with Ms Office;
  • A highly innovative, results oriented individual with excellent analytical skills;
  • A proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Scope and Coverage

Requirements

Kids Alive Kenya is a faith-based charitable organization which rescues orphans and vulnerable children, restores their dignity and gives them hope for the future. We do this by creating safe family-based homes, schools and community programs.

The Boys’ Home is located in Nyeri County, Kieni East, Lusoi. The Home provides care for boys ranging from 6 – 18 years of age. The Boys Home has a Children’s Home, a farm and a Home School.

We are looking for a God fearing, dynamic, confident, results-oriented Manager to provide
programmatic and spiritual leadership at the Boys’ Home and within the neighboring community through the “Keeping Families Together’ Program.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day program of care for the Boys at the Home, including their
physical, social, emotional, educational and spiritual growth;
Oversee the management of finances and administration at the Home;
Lead, support and develop the staff team at the Home;
Develop positive working links between the Home and the local community.

The ideal position holder must be a born-again Christian who demonstrates genuine love and
passion for children. He shall be computer literate, and is able to work under pressure. The

Educational Requirements
A degree holder in social work/youth ministry with at least 3 years work experience or a
diploma with 5 years experience working with children in difficult circumstances.
Training in HIV/AIDS care, counseling and good knowledge of NGO management.
Specific working experience with children ministries for at least 3 years

Working under the direct supervision of the Programme Officer, Health the position entails supporting the direct implementation of project activities specifically counselling within 6 target institutions in Nairobi and Kiambu Districts.

The engagement is for an initial two months with possibility of extension.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the provision of counselling services to children within the project
  • Support the implementation of all direct activities within the institution with a special emphasis on provision of health and life skills education within the partner institution
  • Ensure the establishment and maintenance of ethical cognitive and psychosocial support systems within the partner institutions
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and periodic evaluation of the institutional psychosocial support systems recommending remedial/corrective action

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Training and/or experience in Public Health and/or Social Work will be an added advantage
